Breakfast with Santa 2024: December 14, 2024
Gulfarium Marine Adventure Park

What is Breakfast with Santa?

At Breakfast with Santa, we want children in foster care to experience not just being greeted by Santa, but to have opportunities to play, learn, and give back to the families who care for them. They will meet Santa, enjoy breakfast, shop, wrap, and give gifts. They will visit Santa’s Shops to pick out gifts for two special adults then wrap the gifts in the Elves Wrapping Station. All foster families who attend BWS can visit the Gulfarium for free the day of the event. It’s a day full of Christmas fun for the whole family!

How can I help make BWS possible this year?

  • Financial donations/sponsorships (Giving link below)
  • Donate new gifts to fill Santa’s Shops. (Men and Women gifts under $20)
  • Help organize gifts and decorations on Wednesday, December 11
  • Help load the truck on Thursday, December 12
  • Volunteer to serve at the event on December 14. (You must be 8 years or older to volunteer at the event)

How can I serve at Breakfast with Santa this year?

We could not pull off Breakfast with Santa year after year without the help of volunteers. It takes a minimum of 100 volunteers to make each part of the event happen. Our goal is to have at least 150 volunteers this year. Here are some things that are good to know if you are interested in volunteering at the event:

  • The party is hosted at the Gulfarium Marine Adventure Park in Fort Walton Beach, FL.
  • The party starts at 9:00 and we have new families that are scheduled to arrive in 30-minute increments until 11:30am.
  • All volunteers are expected to arrive by 8:00am to check in and then we have our volunteer meeting at 8:15am.
  • We ask that all volunteers stay until the last family exits the tent around 12:00pm when the party ends.
  • Volunteers are not expected to stay to help clean up, but it is always helpful to have more hands to breakdown.
  • You must be at least 8 years old to serve at the event. We ask that no children younger than that attend the event.

Review the different positions to serve in below:

  • Merry Greeters – The greeters are volunteers who would like to greet all the foster families as they enter the tent.
  • Jolly Buddies (BIGGEST NEED) – These volunteers would like to partner with families throughout the whole experience. This volunteer needs to be able to communicate with the family and make sure they participate in each part of the event. This volunteer will stay with their assigned family the whole time they are under the tents.
  • Breakfast Dashers – These volunteers will help serve breakfast to all our families attending and help clean up tables as families move throughout the event. If you have long hair, please bring something to pull it back.
  • Shop Elves- These volunteers would like to help the children pick out gifts for their two special adults and keep each shop organized. The children will have their buddy with them, but the shop assistants should be able to assist the kids in finding the right gift.
  • Wonderful Wrappers – These volunteers help each child wrap the presents that they have picked out for their special adults. Depending on the age of the child, they will assist as needed throughout the wrapping process.
