What is Breakfast with Santa?

At Breakfast with Santa, we want children in foster care to experience not just being greeted by Santa, but to have opportunities to play, learn, and give back to the families who care for them. They will meet Santa, enjoy breakfast, shop, wrap, and give gifts. They will visit Santa’s Shops to pick out gifts for two special adults then wrap the gifts in the Elves Wrapping Station. All foster families who attend BWS can visit the Gulfarium for free the day of the event. It’s a day full of Christmas fun for the whole family!

What can I expect at Breakfast with Santa?

  1. Once you arrive at the Gulfarium in Fort Walton Beach, you can park anywhere in the parking lot out front. 
  2. Head to the entrance of the tents during your check-in time slot chosen during registration. 
  3. At registration you will receive breakfast menus and wristbands for everyone in your family. These wristbands are what tell our volunteers that you are visitor at BWS and get your family free admission into the Gulfarium once you complete the BWS experience under the tents.  
  4. Your family will be assigned a buddy to walk with you throughout the entire experience and answer any questions you may have. 
  5. You buddy will then help you find a table in our breakfast area and go grab the food you requested on your menus provided at check in. Breakfast is sponsored by Chick-fil-A so you can expect chicken biscuits, nuggets, and more!
  6. After sitting down, we have volunteers that will run to grab your family’s food and clean your table once you are done eating. 
  7. After eating, your buddy will take your children to Santa’s shop where each child will be able to pick gifts for two special adults in their lives. After picking their gifts, they will enter the wrapping zone where they will get to pick bags for their gifts and wrap them. 
  8. While your children are shopping and wrapping with your buddy, you are welcome to stay seated in the breakfast area. Your buddy will bring them back to you once they are done at that same spot. 
  9. Your last stop will be to pick up your Family Bag next to the exit.
  10. You have now completed the BWS experience and may exit the tent and enter the Gulfarium!

Tips and Tricks

  • No matter what check in time you choose, every family in attendance will have the same experience. We work very hard to make sure the first family and last family that attend BWS have the same experience. 
  • Bathrooms are available inside the Gulfarium gift shop. They are not too far away from the tents, but you do have to go inside to access them. 
  • The event will go on rain or shine! Check the weather ahead of time and dress appropriately.
  • Bring extra hands with you. Don’t feel like you can’t bring a friend or relative to help you that day. All we ask is that you include them in your family total so that we can have enough food for everyone. 
  • Strollers are welcome! There will be plenty of room for them to move around
