At First City we love to do life together. Events at First City are designed to grow people spiritually, connect people together, and serve our community. We hope you will attend our next event to get connected!
We are preparing for our Spring Small Group semester to begin on February 1. Before the semester begins we have a few events that take place:
Small Group Leader Training: January 11 or 18
This is a class for anyone who is interested in a leading a small group at FCC for the first time. Whether you want to lead a group this Spring or some other time, you can come and learn more about what our expectations are of our small groups and their leaders. You can attend on either January 11 or 18 and receive the same information. The training starts after second service and typically last about an hour.
Small Group Fair: January 25
This will take place in the Coffee House on Sunday, January 25 after both services. This is the best time for you to explore all the small groups that are offered this Spring and meet all the SG leaders for each group. Once you find the perfect group for you, you can register for that group.
Small Groups Begin: February 1
All small groups will begin meeting the week of February 1. Registration will open January 25 for all Spring small groups.
If you are looking to get more connected at First City, FC Next Steps is the best way. We ask that you RSVP using the button below so we will be ready to serve you. The class take places on the 3rd Floor in our FC Students area after second service ends, typically around 12:00, and ends before 2:00. We hope your family can join us!
This year, our focus is Hospitality. Because it is our theme for the year, we are placing special emphasis on it during our 21 Days of Prayer & Fasting. At its core, hospitality is the generous and warm reception of others—but it is far more than a kind idea or good intention. Hospitality is a biblical command.
In 1 Peter 4:9, you and I are instructed to, “Cheerfully share your home with those who need a meal or a place to stay.” Other translations say it this way: “Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling.” Isn’t it striking that even then, believers needed to be reminded not to complain—and how much more do we need that reminder today?
Join us as we read through our Daily Prayer Guide together starting January 11. Copies will available for pickup on Sunday mornings or you can download the PDF copy online.
Get ready for an epic showdown! Parents and students will face off in a fun-filled game night to see who takes home the Generational Glory Cup and bragging rights for the year. Prizes will be awarded for best dressed—students come dressed as “old,” and parents come dressed as “young.” Join us for laughter, friendly competition, and unforgettable memories!
This 4-week workshop will take place each Sunday of February. These nights will take place from 5:00-7:30pm and will include childcare, catered dinner, worship, teaching, fellowship, and more. We invite all married and engaged couples to join us for this meaningful time together. Each week we will be covering one of these topics: God’s Purpose for Marriage, Biblical Roles in Marriage, Sexual Intimacy, and Parenting.
The cost to attend is $30/night per family or $100 for all four nights as long as you pre-register by January 25. These fees help cover food and childcare costs, but if finances are a concern, please still register. We don’t want to cost to be a barrier for anyone to attend. If you feel led, you can also choose to sponsor an additional couple. You can register today using the button below:
Join FC Students for Heart Attack on February 13 from 6:00-9:00. This night is dedicated to fun, service, and showing extra love to members of our church family who need encouragement. Come ready to laugh, serve, and make a difference as we share God’s love in meaningful ways.
Celebrate Valentine’s Day with intentional family fellowship! Families are invited to join us as we create special prayer jars together—one for each family to take home. This hands-on event is a wonderful opportunity to connect, pray, and grow together as a church family. Please register by February 1 so we have enough supplies to serve your family:
