Our Summer Small Groups semester kicks off on August 31! The Fall semester lasts 13 weeks and will end on November 29. This is the best way to get connected in the community here at First City Church. We want to encourage everyone to find a small group to attend this Fall. Life is better in community!
Small Group Leader Training for anyone interested in leading a small group for the first time will be offered on August 10 and 17. Please RSVP to Mark Wise at smallgroups@firstcitychurch.org to let him know which class you plan to attend.
Small Group Fair will take place on August 24 in the Coffee House between services and after second service. This is a great time to explore all the small groups offered this semester, meet the group leaders, and ask any questions you may have before attending.
Orphan Sunday is special time to remember the call of Christ’s body to love, cherish, and shine the light of Jesus to vulnerable families and children in our community. At First City, we mark this day by celebrating God’s goodness and blessing foster families across Circuit 1 (Escambia, Santa Rosa, Okaloosa, and Walton counties) with a gift basket and Thanksgiving meal from Publix. On Sunday, October 26, you will have the opportunity to sponsor a foster families Thanksgiving meal for $75/family. On November 9, Orphan Sunday, we will deliver gift baskets to each of the families homes who registered to receive a meal in Escambia and Santa Rosa counties. If you would like to sponsor a Thanksgiving meal for a local foster family, you can do that using the button below. Please choose “Orphan Sunday” in the dropdown menu.
Mark your calendars for Sunday, November 16th as our FC Students take over the morning service! This is a special opportunity to support and encourage our students as they lead worship, share the Word, and serve throughout the morning. Come ready to cheer them on!
